The superb thing about training to sail, defiantly in England, is that the coastline is so near to you. We are never too faraway from a sailing & yachting adventure! Leaving the United Kingdom behind us & fading into the water on a stunning yacht is less of a delusion than you may think.

People young and old are giving sailing a crack. There is no age boundary and children as young as 6 can lend a hand to a boat team. Mainly sailing and yachting only needs a small amount of physical power, for this reason it can easily develop into an activity appreciated by everyone.

Training to sail doesn’t have to be pricey. Do not just rush out and buy the most costly attire and gear. For the first number of occasions on the water you would be suggested to borrow or charter anything you might perhaps need. Invest in the sport once you have started to sail on a regular basis.

Those with disabilities, for example vision impairment, can still easily learn to sail without limitations. Wheelchair individuals can still participate in the activity although they should be more wary in their choice of sailing craft.

Training to sail is an awe-inspiring experience & an activity which will bring you several hours of satisfaction. It’s not a complicated sport to overcome but the possible risks you will come across means safety is vital. We have constructed this article to support you when studying to sail. Learn to race with Yacht Racing Courses from Ondeck.

7 percent loan rate may look so mediocre but will it stay invariant after you’re going to requite your credit loan. A merchant bank in McKinney Texas or so can have a total completely different actual interest rate for a 25000 dollar money loan then a moneylender in Folsom California and that makes a vast clear difference in your monthly pay backs. That’s the reason why now you really need to check into and go steady if you can have a credit loan at a solid percent rate of interest. Be bright today to examine if you have a nice special offer or if you don’t with the bank that offers you a money loan. At this present you can suss out rates of interest quickly on the internet and watch if there are possible traps you should know about. A lot of the moneylenders wil show you a rate that is looking sightly but doesn’t feel comfortably or so after a period of time. It makes no difference if you live in Kearny New Jersey or in Destin Florida a fine online inspection will unbosom you often lots of anguish.

Check out to see if the merchant bank who is tending to give you a bank loan is trustworthy.

How to Build Web Traffic Daily

I - Introduction
II - Web Directories
III - Search Engines - Rankings
III - Link ahoy!
IV - Messageboards and Forums
V - Conclusion

I - Introduction

The one thing that webmasters wish for is a steady flow of web traffic to their website.

My aim with this article is to give you a few ideas for bringing web traffic to your website. Once your web traffic is up and flowing, what you do with the web traffic is up to you.

First and foremost, web traffic mainly comes from the following areas; in no particular order
1. Web Directories
2. Search Engines
3. Link ahoy!

4. Discussion Boards/Forums

We go into each of these in detail below.

II - Web directories

A web directory is not my favorite medium for building web traffic; but it can be useful to build PR which can help to achieve better rankings in the Google Search Engine. PR (range of 1-10) is one of the factors Google uses to rank its results when someone does a search. Basically, with a higher PR; it is believed that your listing should rank better than those with other PR.

With a quick overview about PR; PR is determined by how many backlinks you have, and the quality of those backlinks. The more backlinks you have from quality websites you have, the higher PR you will generate; and as a result; better rankings.

Thats the beauty about some web directories and link pages. According to how high the PR values are for the webpage where you want to place your link; your webpage PR value would increase. If you could manage to get many links on various PR6 websites for example; your PR value should increase and your rankings should get better and should drive more traffic.

How to find web directories you ask? Its a simple task: All you need to do is to go to www.google.com and type in your keyword and the word directory For example, if the keyword was ‘Cat’, the search term would be ‘Cat directory’ are various Cat directories should come up.

III - Linkahoy!

Ebaumsworld is a very popular website for finding jokes. It currently enjoys over 750, 000 unique visitors a month. Yet, on typing ‘jokes’ and performing a search, ebaumsworld is not present in the top 100 results. How then can Ebaumsworld enjoy so much web traffic a month?

Ebausmsworld mainly achieves this through backlinks. Interestingly enough, on doing a backlink count with Google, Ebaumsworld chalked up 9,550 in backlinks.

Now lets face reality:
Manually creating 9,550 backlinks by manually going to web pages and submitting your link is a very tiring task.

The only way to create so many genuine backlinks is by having GOOD CONTENT.

After studying major websites, I’ve found that they are two great ways of creating this:

1 Media/Downloads
2. Articles

With Ebaumworld.com, their key is loads of media, not necessarily article writing.
Web surfers are attracted to downloads and media in general; It’s a much welcomed difference to all of the text found on web pages.

Once you start to create a number of articles and media/downloads, you will find that persons start to visit your website more regularly to check for more media/downloads; Your web traffic will increase especially when the articles and downloads are really great ones.

The added advantage with articles as well, is that you can post them on other related websites. By doing this, you can create numerous backlinks by including your link at the end of your article.

Search engines love Article content; but we’ll go more into Search Engines in the next section.

IV -Search Engines

Search engines are great for driving web traffic if you can get into about the top 30 results for popular search terms. With Google, rankings depend largely on backlinks and PR.

In addition to these two variables; another variable is Onpage Optimization.

Onpage optimization is basically the editing of your HTML code so that its ideal for placement in search engine results.

This editing may including the editing of meta tags, descriptions, keywords and content realignment.

Quick tips for Onpage optimization for web traffic

1. Use H1 header tags

Make sure that this tag contains your keyword.

2. Use H2 tags.

Largely taken as a subheading, make sure this also contains your main keyword;

3. Evenly spread keywords

Also, with regards to the content, try to make reference to your keyword regularly, but not too often. Try to mention it evenly throughout the document. This is where the article writing from the previous sections comes in handy. With your articles, make sure that

There are numerous other Onpage Optimization tips I can give you, but I go into that more in the Optimization tips article HERE.

V - Discussion Boards/Forums

Discussion forums are a great way to get your message out and generate even more web traffic.

To find these forums use your keyword and the word ‘forums’ with www.google.com

For example, ‘Cat forums’. Make sure that you keep a log of all of them. You’ll want to be making regular posts here.

On registering, try to include your URL and a brief description of your website in your signature. If you make regular posts on the forums, and change signatures every once in a while to reflect what’s going on at your website, you will have a steady stream of visitors.

For example, an example signature could be ‘Catland.com - ‘How to make cats happy’ article just posted 12/34/04′.

On these boards, you will also realize that there are several recurring questions new persons ask.

With reference to the Cats forums; there may be a question which you find reoccurs ‘How should I groom my Cat?’.

If you can create an article to answer each of these questions, you can always post the link to your article everytime a newbie asks question. This will drive fresh users to your website and once your website has in great content; will ensure repeat user and more web traffic.

VI - Conclusion

There are always new ways of finding means of developing web traffic. Offline promotion such as developing business cards can also help. You’ve only just begun your journey! The last thing I want to say is that fresh content ALWAYS brings return vistors; keep adding content; and your visitors will return time after time.

With that said I wish you all the best with your web traffic quest!

Different people have different definitions of cruising. To some, it means traveling across oceans into foreign countries for years, maybe circumnavigating the globe. To others, it means touring waters close to home over a summer.

I don’t think it much matters what the time frame or geographical scope is. Cruising, I believe, is a state of mind. No, I’m not talking about listening to Jimmy Buffet music while sucking on a rum drink in the cockpit. That can be fun, and it might be part of the lifestyle, but it’s not cruising all by itself.

For me, cruising is fundamentally about self-sufficiency. All water vessels are islands when you come right down to it. Everything that a boat and its crew need to survive and operate must be on board. Water, fuel, electricity, food, clothes, hardware–all self contained, whether for a weekend or a decade. The knowledge needed to get from point A to point B–coastal or open water navigation, understanding weather patterns, how to anchor safely, etc.–is necessary. And if a crisis arises, the crew must be prepared to deal with it on their own.

Self-sufficiency touches every aspect of a cruising lifestyle. Getting food, keeping tanks filled, making electricity–those are some of the more obvious elements. Self-sufficiency is required in some other, perhaps not quite so evident, areas. Being on a fixed (or no) income can be a real challenge if you want to stay on the water as long as possible–creative spending and income production may be called for, and that calls for self-sufficiency. Health maintenance is extremely important, and this requires a higher degree of self-sufficiency than required when tied to land.

I think one of the key areas where self-sufficiency is called for is inside one’s own head. Boredom is certainly encountered out there–a well-known adage is that cruising is hundreds of hours of non-activity punctuated here and there by minutes of terror. What to do with those hundreds of hours? A self-sufficient cruiser finds pathways through the boredom.

Humility is a big part of cruising. No matter how much preparation is done or how much seafaring knowledge the skipper and crew have, it isn’t wise to get complacent. Nature hates hubris. She has a way of kicking us in the butt the moment we think we’ve got it all under control, and a small fluke can cascade into a major emergency in the blink of an eye.

Prudence, the third component of a cruising state of mind, springs from humility. A lot adventure yarns I’ve heard from cruisers, the ones that keep listeners riveted while the storyteller talks about a harrowing experience that he or she passed through before getting safely to harbor, are founded on bad judgement. In almost every case where I or another listener asked probing questions, it turned out that the boat was flaunting statistics–making passages in the wrong season or against the prevailing winds. There was always a “good” reason for being on the water against the odds–I am amazed at how often the reason is that some friend or family member is flying in to the destination on a certain date, and the boat had to be there by then. Why would a skipper be so imprudent? Why risk putting the boat and crew in a dicey situation for a reason like that? It happens a lot.

The ocean and the weather can be dangerous, perhaps fatal, and if you have a good grip on that fact, it can’t help but make you take pause. We can never be absolutely certain that a passage will be trouble-free, but we can stack the deck on our favor by knowing the best times for travel in a particular part of the globe, making sure that crucial boat systems are in good working order, and watch schedules and other crew responsibilities are designed to avoid fatigue. Discipline is needed too–the discipline to stay in port even though it means missing a planned rendezvous down the line, the discipline to include worst-case scenarios when making passage decisions. Prudence helps us make plans deliberately and with discipline, so that the odds will be on our side.

Self-sufficiency, humility, and prudence–these, for me, are the three characteristics that make a cruiser. Everything stems from these: How you prepare, how you plan your itinerary, how you meet challenges once you are on the water. And it doesn’t matter where or for how long you go. As far as I’m concerned, whether you are a permanent resident in the world’s largest small village or an occasional visitor, if you are striving for self-sufficiency, taking a humble approach, and exercise prudence in your approach to the lifestyle, you are a cruiser.

Trish Lambert (http://www.trishlambert.com) has been a cruising sailor for over twenty years and a first mate three times, with three different skippers and three very different cruising styles. She knows first hand what makes cruising successful, and what she has to share may surprise you! Whether you are a skipper or first mate, a singlehander or part of a cruising couple, sail boater or power boater, Trish can help make your cruising dream a reality.

After hurricane Katrina we saw how very deadly barges could be in water off the coast. In the future we need to be able to secure barges prior to hurricanes. But how can we secure them in a way, which will prevent them from becoming a problem?

Even if we make laws that the company anchor them properly, some are practically abandoned, then what? What if there is no way to secure them and as the Hurricane Approaches without exact landfall known where can you take it? The problem is you can’t.

Perhaps all barges need to be taken up river a minimum of 15-miles, so no storm surge pushes the tide up where ever it is up river they are taken. Additionally we should load on them anything in the area that may become a hazard and take that up river too. Anything that could become a battering ram in a storm surge causing more damage.

We are learning that with 30 foot storm surges that Mother Nature packs a wallop and we cannot expect these storm surges to be at least this high in harbors and inlets where the water is forced into smaller and tighter confines.

We must turn these abandoned or unused barges into tools and keep the Hurricanes from using them for weapons to destroy near ocean infrastructure like bridges, piers and levees. If we fail to clear them out before the storm, then we know they will be a liability to us later, we just do not know if we will be lucky or if we will be on the losing end of the deal. Consider this in 2006.

Sometimes it can be difficult to round up the old gang from high school; everyone is busy, someone in their family either can’t or won’t go, or people will think, “Oh, those things are so boring.”

Well, if you or someone you know is in charge of coordinating your reunion for the “Class of —-,” you’ll definitely get better results from the get-go if you decide to plan the reunion aboard a luxury yacht, offering your former classmates a real chance to unwind while they reminisce about the “old days” with you and your friends.

Most yacht clubs offer more than adequate dining and banquet rooms for a special occasion like this. One thing to keep in mind in advance, though: Make your reservations early, because this concept is quickly catching on!
And though yacht clubs are always great choices for reunions of that size, the ocean, or sailing yachts will likely appeal to even the stodgiest of your past classmates. There’s just something about floating along in luxury on the world’s oceans that people just can’t resist. Add a good party with lots of good food, service, and great accommodations, and you’ll have one rockin’, rollin’ ship!

Make sure, also, that the yacht is fully licensed to provide a complete beverage service, including host bar capabilities. Other attractions to look for are a good-sized pool (of course!) table linens (in your choice of colors), a good ballroom or dance floor, floral and other decorating arrangements, billiard rooms, adjustable lighting, and even a fireplace! The idea is to make everyone feel both “at home” and “on vacation” at the same time - something that can only be accomplished in few places, such as an ocean yacht!

And, because we’re such a “business society” these days, many of your old classmates may need office facilities, such as a fax or photocopy machine, comfortable desks, chairs, and lamps, and even a “board room” for those who may prefer to mix business with pleasure more than others.

Of course pricing is always a factor, and for a luxury yacht, you can expect the numbers to be around $2,200 per person (for sailings to the Caribbean), up to $10,718 per person for an Owner’s Suite (for Mediterranean yachting). However, you can bring those prices down considerably if you charter a yacht on a per diem basis. Most travel agencies can handle all the details for you.

Past life regression will locate the reason why we have problems with fellow workers in our present lifetime or why we are apprehensive of certain things. You have sisters around you in your current life that you will have incredibly met with before, now just imagine being able to learn what happened and what your relationship was to them at that time and destroy blocks that plague you in your current lifetime and even find out talents and bring them into your present time. Past life regression is fantastic. Find out what life you had before with Past Life Regression.

When you are having a past lifetime regression session you will regress to the life you most need to know about in your current lifetime. This is eye-opening and might clarify a considerable deal about your present life and help you would to move forward with your life with a greater understanding of yourself, your life and the fellow workers around you.

You might also learn why you are the individual that you are, now that is mind-blowing. If you enjoy nature maybe you were once a farmer, if you love to travel perhaps you were a gypsy. Instead of forgetting our strengths we acknowledge all of them.

Each experience is brilliant and unique. Other participants have discovered places they?d lived in before and just knew where to go.

Everyone knows sailing a catamaran is fun, but some people interested in taking it up hold back due to bias and ill-informed hearsay. Here are some of the more popular catamaran myths I’ll cover:

• Dockage Difficulty
• Cats Don’t point; Need dagger boards
• Capsizing - Not possible for Cruising Cats
• Cats Don’t Seem Popular in Some Locations
• Windage of Flat Windows
• Fly Bridges are too High

Myth #1 - Poor Dockage Availability

Catamarans are synonymous with ‘comfort’ - especially with regards to extended cruising - because of how much living space they afford above and below decks. However, a catamaran’s accommodating ‘width’ has also been associated with restricted dockage availability. While this may have held some truth in the past, catamarans have seen a tremendous increase in popularity and what marina would choose to ignore that kind of market?

What you’ll find is that whether you’re coastal cruising or ocean voyaging, you are generally offered berths on the outside of ‘T’ docks, which doesn’t present a problem for catamarans. They can even occupy slips that are often too shallow for other yachts. Additionally, many new marinas often have large slips or alongside tie ups for large power boats that will work equally well for a catamaran. All and all, this just isn’t the problem you might think it to be. Our satellite offices alone offer prime dockage in Annapolis, Fort Lauderdale and Tortola, BVI. If you are seriously looking for dock space in your area you will find it, and we can help.

Myth #2 - Sailing Performance - Multihulls don’t point; need dagger boards

This myth is thought to stem from older multihulls that didn’t upwind very well simply because a lot of them didn’t have dagger boards. In general, most cats will point as high, if not higher, than an equivalent cruising monohull. However, if a catamaran is sailed 5 - 10 degrees off of a close-hulled point of sail its boat speed will be higher than an equivalent monohull. For this reason, you’ll typically find a catamaran that will be sailed several degrees off the wind and maintain a faster VMG to a point upwind. (See Dennis Connor’s ‘Stars and Stripes’ victory at the America’s Cup in San Diego over KZ-1, the world’s most radical 90ft. monohull)

Good upwind sailing performance really just comes down to the design of the hull and keel sections. In the past, older first generation hull designs really needed dagger boards to perform well up wind. That is not the case today with third generation hull and keel design cross sections, which are more efficient through the water.

Myth #3 - Catamarans capsize easily

Prospective buyers that have never experienced a cruising catamaran most likely develop their fears of capsizing from watching those little beach cats zip along the shore on one hull. After a while, it is inevitable the sailor will lose control and over it goes.

Cruising catamarans are in a class of their own. The power-to-weight ratio is greatly lower on a catamaran that is 34′+. Here’s an example: a Lagoon 380-S2 carries 850 square feet of sail on a boat that weighs 15,344 pounds and is over 21′5 wide. This is a lot different from a beach cat that may only have 400 feet of sail on a 400 pound boat that is only 8′ wide.

Most multihulls will not capsize even under intense conditions. A catamaran in extreme conditions will round into the wind, much like a monohull. Thereby in actuality it is not possible for a cruising catamaran to capsize from extreme wind conditions. Any extreme stress to the rig can be easily avoided by simply reefing and slowing down. Catamarans offer a very safe margin for secure offshore family sailing and performance.

Catamaran designs are notorious for their excellent safety record due to their enormous stability, conservative rigs and unsinkable hull from many separate watertight compartments and no heavy ballast.

Myth #4 - Catamarans don’t seem popular in some locations
Often we will have prospective catamaran owners from locations in the states that don’t often see catamarans in their local area and feel that there may be a reason for this phenomenon. California is one such location. We have seen many catamaran owners from California who desire to do their sailing in other locations and don’t keep their yachts in their home waters location.

In general the catamaran market is quite young and the ratio of catamarans to monohulls in more established sailing markets is skewed in favor of monohulls.

Don’t let this put you off. Currently there is high demand for catamarans and limited supply that protects catamaran owners with very good resale values for well-cared-for late model catamarans.
Myth #5 - Windage of flat windows will slow down the catamaran

Several years ago we used to hear this very often from buyers new to the catamaran market. The fact is that the flat sections of the forward facing or side facing windows have a very marginal effect on performance. Most sailing catamarans’ max speed is under 20 Kts, this limits the wind resistant effect that is multiplied with boat speed.

Many older catamaran designs have slanted windows that are curved over the top while the modern designs with flat windows curve around the side and the top, above the flat section.

No one can argue the old style slanted windows don’t look sexy. But the situation is akin to some minivan automobile designs in which their large, sloping windows generate excessive heat in the sun, while only creating “acres” of marginally usable dashboard surface.

By comparison, a salon with vertical windows allows you to enjoy more interior volume by maintaining your headroom as you move forward in the salon; they prevent the salon from inferred heating by the sun and have a great panoramic view without the need for sun covers over the windows.

Myth #6 - Fly bridges on catamarans are too high

The 44ft plus range of new 3rd generation catamarans, which entered the market about two years ago, are now being built with fly bridges by leading catamaran manufacturers. We have been asked, “is this a safe place to be in foul weather” or “the fly bridge raises the center of effort too high”.

In practice it has been proven that being on the centerline of the yacht and elevated improves safety because of better visibility and you are least likely to be splashed by a wave breaking over the deck. The added feature of a bimini with a clear window adds additional protection from foul weather. In the event of nasty weather the yacht can also be maneuvered from the highly protected interior helm station option.

The fact is that the fly bridge is not just an add-on but is a key feature of a totally new design of catamaran. In-fact the fly bridge, like on the new Lagoon 44 and 500, is a completely integrated design that is incorporated into the coach roof of the salon and flows seamlessly into the hardtop bimini. As a result this design does not affect the lines of the yacht nor does it raise the boom and sail plan any higher than 3ft over an older designed equivalent sized catamaran.
