It’s Alright to Lose
Every poker player eventually has a bad run of luck where they find themselves losing more than average. They get caught up in the whirlwind and only stop when they run out of money. This kind of a losing spree is often started when players go on tilt, which is a bad thing in the poker world. The problem with any losing spree is that most players tend to feel like they are doing something wrong. Especially for the average player, who will face these losing sprees on a regular basis, losing can be an emotionally and financially devastating experience. It can make you feel like a poor player with limited skills. My advice to you is not to worry too much if you find yourself losing.
There is always a tendency to think that a single losing streak means that you are a poor player. This is simply not the case. Everyone loses eventually. Actually, industry experts calculate that about 99% of the poker playing public will lose on a regular basis. If you are facing a long losing streak, this statistic should give you comfort. Losing regularly does not make you a poor poker player, it just makes you average. It is perfectly alright to lose a poker hand every once in a while.
