Here at the bowling center I usually find a recreational bowler looking to take on the game of bowling with new respect. If you accept bowling is your situation, you’re approaching a major cross-roads in growing as a true student of the game. My introduction to “Bowling Like a Pro” stand as essential reading. An expert from a nearby bowling pro shop can help their customers harness bowling talent. A wise bowling wizard once said: you get back what you put in (from the ball return - hah). Just kidding. Fine, so it’s more complicated than that. Don’t fret, we can make sure you’re bowling down the right lane.
Most importantly, buy your own tailored bowling balls and shoes required to bowl competiviely. You’ll notice a difference with your own stuff. I promise, have your personal ball drilled, and you’ll bowl more consistently. A correctly weighted bowling ball can make a substantial improvement in your game. Of course another critical matter is sliding out your final step in quality bowling shoes which smell fresh, look good and help your foot work.
If you may have previous bought good supplies, listen to the number two bowling tip: taking aim. While you face the pins, don’t shoot for your actual target, the pins. Line up using the arrows like a gunsight. Why, you ask? It’s less difficult to aim for a point that is closer. For it to work right, it should be your habit to begin your approach at the a consistent place on the wood on every attempt. If you do it the same every time you can fine-tune your accuracy and angle.
What do you make of spin, to get ten pin explosion? That’s our next best piece of bowling advice. It’s all in the specialized bowling ball. Most serious bowlers travel with several types of bowling balls to pull off heavy hooks, depending on where they are. However greenhorns should work with just one, and avoid a ball that weighs a ton. A lot of pro bowlers travel with bowling balls featuring reactive expert grip. However you should know these special-made balls might make even some well known players appear silly. And that does it for our first three bowling tips. Rest assured you’ll find next week.
