US Gambling Laws: Ineffective?
With the proliferation of offshore gambling not just in US but around the world, the US federal court has passed a lot of bills which are, I can say, weird and unjust. So, in addition to already passed bills regarding US Gambling Laws, the federal court has decided to add another prohibiting all Internet gambling and stopping the flow of money in your bank. Pretty weird huh? So what they are trying to say is that operation of online gaming will considered a crime and those people behind this will be charged with felony and be sentenced to a rightful years of service. Moreover, the US Gambling Law also wants to stop money transfer from the gambling websites to your bank and vise-versa. How are they going to do that? Another weird provision is that, any law enforcer such as the police, are allowed to get court order requiring all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) like Google and AOL to cut all gaming websites that are linked to them. Thus, any local district attorney or police enforcers can take action on cutting access to any website that s/he considers illegal and dangerous. Do you want another ineffective provisions that has been introduced by Rep Robert Scoot? He proposed an amendment to fine criminally all online bettors. With this provision, a lot of members of Congress are now declaring that if the federal government really wants to eliminate all the offshore betting and online gambling available in the United States and around the world, they should put a stop to all bettors, since they are the reason why this industry continues to operate. In my opinion, the US Gambling Laws are nothing but ineffective. There are a lot of loopholes that are needed to be answered and discussed. Let the federal government to what is just and right.
